PHANTOM

Book by Arthur Kopit. Music and Lyrics by Maury Yeston. Based on the novel “The Phantom of the Opera” by Gaston Leroux.

Directed by Casey Hushion (In the Heights and The Drowsy Chaperone); Music Director Edward G. Robinson (CATS, Miss Saigon and Mamma Mia)

Auditions are Monday, August 4th at 6:00pm

Seeking: Adult male and female singers. Looking to cast exceptional singers of all ages (18+) and types. Prefer strong legit singers who move.

Prepare 16 to 32 bars from the show or from a classical, legit musical theatre piece. If musical selection is not from the Phantom score, please make sure you bring sheet music in your key. No monologue preparation; sides will be given to those singers at the audition who are asked to stay and read. Bring headshot or photo and resume. Accompanist provided; no taped accompaniment or a cappella allowed.

Auditions are held at NC Theatre Studios located at 3043 Barrow Drive, Raleigh, NC 27616. No appointments taken; please sign in on day of auditions no earlier than 5:00pm. Singers audition on a first come basis beginning at 6:00pm. Callbacks are the same night.

Performers cast will be notified by phone; there is no public posting of the cast list. All roles are paid. Non-Equity and Equity performers are welcome; all ethnicities are encouraged to audition.

Rehearsals begin Saturday, October 4th. Production runs October 18th – 26th. NO CONFLICTS ALLOWED FOR ANY REHEARSALS. Rehearsals are held at NC Theatre Studios and Raleigh Memorial Auditorium. All performances are held at Raleigh Memorial Auditorium in the Progress Energy Center for the Performing Arts.
