Cast Spotlight: Disney's BEAUTY AND THE BEAST

DIRK LUMBARD is performing as the candelabra we all know and love, Lumiere.  We are so excited to welcome Dirk back for his 13th show at NC Theatre! He won a Theatre World Award for Wit, the last NC Theatre production he starred in. He has been a part of the National Tour of The Wizard of Oz, Grand Hotel, and Crazy for You.  His other Broadway credits include: Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Music Man (Stand-by for Harold Hill), Imaginary Friends, On Your Toes, Barnum, and Sugar Babies.
 
ANDREW DELANO FARMER will be making his NC Theatre debut as the adorable little tea cup, Chip! He is a rising 6th grader. Andrew has also been studying acting and improv locally since age 8. Previous credits include Mothers and Sons (Bud Ogden-Porter) and The Music Man (Winthrop). When not performing, Andrew enjoys playing golf and tennis. 
 
MICHAEL BRIAN DUNN is going to be the performing as the clock of reason, Cogsworth!  He has starred in National and international tours of Amadeus, HMS Pinafore, and If This Hat Could Talk. Michael’s Broadway shows include: Doctor Zhivago, Amazing Grace, The Life, Cats, Guys and Dolls, Big River, Baby, and Sweeney Todd. Television credits include: Law and Order CI, Trial by Jury, S.V.U. Film credit include: Julie & Julia (Ivan Cousins) 
 
ANN VAN CLEAVE will be starring as the level-headed and very maternal teapot, Mrs. Potts. Ann is thrilled to make her NC Theatre debut and we are very happy to have her here. She starred in the National and Canadian tour of Hal Prince’s Showboat as Ellie. She has starred in numerous leading regional roles, recordings, and Symphony performances. She was also in the original New York Workshop productions of A Christmas Carol, Big, and Footloose. Her other Broadway shows include: Beauty and the Beast (Mrs. Potts and Madame), Fiddler on the Roof, A Class Act, Kiss Me Kate, Ragtime, Showboat, and Cyrano the Musical. Ann is also married and the proud mother of three children.
