Our Acting Summer Theatre Arts School presents Thornton Wilder's Pulitzer-Prize winning Our Town. A landmark in American drama, Our Town, tells the story of a small town, Grover's Corners, New Hampshire. Through the young Emily and George, their strong and loving parents, and the many other Grover's Corners' locals, Wilder delivers the universal truths of what it means to be human. With humor, wit, and exceptionally good storytelling, Our Town offers a unique opportunity for audiences to realize precisely that realization.

We are thrilled to announce the leads of our upcoming production, William Kalland and Riley Yates.

William will be playing the role of "George Gibbs" in Our Town. He returns to the NC Theatre Conservatory after having played "Philip Glass/Don" in last summer's All in the Timing. William was last seen in Theater Raleigh's A Midsummer's Night Dream and he also reprised the role "Peter" in The Wolf! His favorite past credits include Judson Theater Company's On Golden Pond as the character "Billy Ray, Jr.", "Jem" in To Kill a Mockingbird, and Raleigh Little Theatre's Junie B. Jones as "Herb". William also was involved in Cary High's Twelfth Night and Applause! Cary Youth Theater shows.

Riley will be staring in Our Town as the role of "Emily". Our Town will be Riley's second Acting Summer Theatre Arts School production with the NC Theatre Conservatory. Riley's past roles include "Maggie" in Jake's Women and "Millie" in Picnic. You may have also seen her in The Trojan Women as "Cassandra" and "Gertie Cummings" in Oklahoma!

Our Town runs August 11-13, 2017 at the Conservatory Theatre.
