Read Music in a Week - Ages 12+

Take away the mystery of reading music and put it within your grasp. Basic music theory and sight singing in a fun, non- intimidating environment

Learn your basic tap dancing skills in this one week “crash course”. Time steps, “shim-shams”, “buffaloes”, “cramp rolls” will all be explored in the fun-filled week of tap!

Junior Improv! - Ages 7-11

Young actors will learn improvisation through games, scene work, character development and listening as a fun approach to acting.

Audition!! - Ages 12+
Instructor: Sherry Lee Allen

Musical theater prep for the aspiring performer focusing on the total package. The perfect 16-32 bars of a song, monologues, cold-readings, dance combination quick study and audition tips and etiquette will be explored.

Explore different styles of Broadway movement while studying choreography of today’s hottest shows and musical theatre classics

Get ready to “Dance with the Stars” in this fun-filled introduction to ballroom dancing.  Learn basic ballroom steps including waltz, cha cha, jive, salsa and fox trot.

An acting class minus the scripts!  Students will study improvisation using games, scene work, focusing on character development, scene structure and listening.

Broadway Sings! - Ages 7-11

Students will learn songs from Broadway’s greatest musicals in this friendly and fun introduction to singing.  This class will focus on vocal training and song preparation for audition and performance in a group environment.

Camp Conservatory presents:

SING!  DANCE! ACT!

North Carolina Theatre Conservatory’s complete musical theatre summer camp with instruction in acting, dance and voice!  Students will recreate musical numbers from the hit musical NEWSIES! and perform for their friends and family at the end of the week at the Conservatory Theatre.
