Cast Spotlight: Our Town

The North Carolina Theatre Conservatory  Acting Summer Theatre Arts School proudly presents Thornton Wilder's Pultizer-Prize winning, Our Town.  Our Town is a landmark in American drama that tells the story of a small town, Grover's Corners, New Hampshire.Throughout various characters in this small town, Wilder delivers universal truths about what it means to be human. This play offers humor, wit, and exceptionally powerful storytelling.  There will be 18 conservatory students performing various roles within the play. Our Town will be showing August 11-13, at the Conservatory Theatre. We will be highlighting each conservatory student over a series of "Cast Spotlights: Our Town". Today's spotlight shines on Aidan Price, Katherine Shearin, and Abigail Shorter. 

AIDAN PRICE will be performing the roles of Joe Crowell, Jr. and a Baseball Player.  He is delighted to make his acting debut with NC Theatre Conservatory! Aidan’s recent credits include Suessical  Jr. (Mr. Mayor) and Alice in Wonderland (The White Rabbit) at Reedy Creek Middle School. He is also a current student at NC Theatre Conservatory. 
KATHERINE SHEARIN will be playing Mrs. Gibbs. She has been a student at the Conservatory for 10 years and is a rising junior at Ravenscroft. Katie is in Elite Live on Stage, Dance, and Acting Companies as well as a member of theTheatre4Change Program. 
ABIGAIL SHORTER will be starring as the Stage Manager. She is a rising tenth grader at Enloe High School. Her recent credits at the NC Theatre Conservatory include Jake’s Women (Karen), All InThe Timing, and The Trojan Women (Cassandra). She also was in Enloe High School’s production of Aida
