Cast Spotlight: OUR TOWN

The North Carolina Theatre Conservatory  Acting Summer Theatre Arts School proudly presents Thornton Wilder's Pultizer-Prize winning, Our Town.  Our Town is a landmark in American drama that tells the story of a small town, Grover's Corners, New Hampshire.Throughout various characters in this small town, Wilder delivers universal truths about what it means to be human. This play offers humor, wit, and exceptionally powerful storytelling.  There will be 18 conservatory students performing various roles within the play. Our Town will be showing August 11-13, at the Conservatory Theatre. We will be highlighting each conservatory student over a series of "Cast Spotlights: Our Town". Today's cast members are Cole McFaden, Sawyer Parker, and Sydney Parks. 
COLE MCFADEN will be playing Sam Craig and the role of a Baseball Player. He studied Drama this summer with UNCSA. Previously, Cole also studied with the Governor School of the Arts in Greenville. Last summer he accepted a scholarship to The New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts. Cole was also a member of Storykeepers and Columbia Children’s Theater performing Romeo and Juliet, Guys and Dolls, Hairspray, and Once Upon a Mattress
SAWYER PARKER is performing the role of Wally Webb. He is thrilled to be in this production of Our Town. Other roles include “Sandy” in Annie Jr. at Ravenscroft’s summer theatre camp. He is in his school’s select choir as well as the drama troupe. Sawyer’s favorite activities include acting, singing, dancing, gymnastics, and soccer. 
SYDNEY PARKS will be starring as Howie Newsome. She is a 14 year old student at Enloe High School. She has performed in films, done voice acting, and multiple on stage performances. Sydney is also a student at NC Theatre Conservatory and Moonlight Stage Company. Sydney enjoys singing, dancing, acting, and playing her new ukulele.
