Share the Stars is North Carolina Theatre's bridge from ticket holders, foundations and corporations to children and families who do not have the resources to attend theatrical productions. By providing free theatre tickets to nonprofit organizations that serve children and families in need, North Carolina Theatre is able to invite children and families who would normally be unable to attend a musical due to financial limitations.

The Share the Stars program was designed to expose children and families in need to the unique American art form of musical theatre. We believe that the power and magic of the stage offers hope and vision to area youth, particularly those who are in search of self-esteem and positive role models. Individuals, foundations and corporations can participate in this exciting program that offers complimentary balcony seats to performances for our main stage productions. For every three $25 tickets purchased, North Carolina Theatre will donate one, providing a lifetime memory for a child. As an added bonus, the donor's name will be acknowledged in the playbill.

You can Share the Stars with a gift of:

$25 to sponsor a child

“We wish to thank NC Theatre and the Ronald McDonald House of Durham for inviting us to attend the Buddy Holly Story on July 26th. It was a marvelous production….we were privileged just to be sitting in the audience. The songs brought back such wonderful memories from my youth, and my daughter loved ‘my music’ for a great change. We will bring back such beautiful memories of our stay here in Durham and Raleigh thanks to your thoughtfulness and generosity.”

“I wanted to take this opportunity to thank the North Carolina Theatre and your generous donors for the CATS tickets for our organization. The show was phenomenal. The Share the Stars program for non-profit organizations is wonderful. It allows us to give some of our clients, volunteers, and staff the opporunity to see some great shows where they may normally not have extra funds available to purchase tickets.”
