Dance Teaching Artist
Brief info
Jenna Johnson is an actor, dancer, writer, and choreographer. Jenna grew up dancing competitively and training extensively, including years as a member of the East Carolina University Dance Team. During her time at ECU, Jenna also trained in their Musical Theatre Department and interned with Pirate Radio. Jenna graduated from ECU in May 2018, Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication, a concentration in Journalism and a minor in Business Administration.
Jenna has a passion for the art that is teaching. She believes the spirit of a child is a gift that can change the world and inspire us all. Teaching, choreographing, cooking and bird watching, are among Jenna’s favorite things. Jenna is thrilled to be back with North Carolina Theatre, now as a Teaching Artist.
Some of Jenna’s theatre roles include, NC Theatre: The Wizard of Oz (Munchkin and Poppy), Harnett Theatre: Grease (Rizzo), The Wizard of Oz (Dorothy), Beauty and the Beast (Babette) Annie (Miss Hannigan). Commercial credits including: Food Lion, FDA, DHHS, IBM, Avaya and NC Education Lottery.
