NCT Conservatory Internship Program
The North Carolina Theatre Conservatory is committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse arts community in Raleigh, NC. Additionally, depending on the institution, we extend eligibility for school credit and community service hours in the areas of JR Teaching Artists, Production Interns, and Administrative Interns. Housing is not provided.
Applicants may apply for one or multiple internships. Applicants must meet the requirements before applying and state their schedule flexibility, if any.
Requirements
- Ages 15+
- Current high school student, recent high school graduate, current undergraduate, or college graduate within the past two years.
- Reliable transportation to and from The North Carolina Theatre Conservatory and outside performance venues, if applicable.
- Committing to the entirety of the opportunities, dates, and times, which may or may not include weekends or after-hours.
Opportunities
Depending on their institution, internships are eligible for school credit or community service hours. Opportunities range in diverse responsibilities that include:

Departments of need include:
- Acting Programs

• Productions (Based on production chosen for the semester)

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• A Basic Understanding of their chosen department of interest is necessary.
• Scheduling is flexible.
• Working alongside theatre professionals in their chosen department of interest.
The NCT Conservatory will produce Broadway Bootcamps and a Summer youth production. This opportunity is geared towards students who have experience in musical theatre and are seeking advanced instruction offers:
You will commit to a 2 or 3-week intensive artistic training featuring production and performance. Acting, singing, and dance disciplines are taught, coinciding with the selected show material.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Leading a group of campers through the camp process.
• Coordinating with Directors, Music Director, Choreographer, and Staff on class exercises, rehearsals, and projects.
• Being present and active for all performances backstage.
• Assisting with parent/guardian drop-off and pick-up.
• Demonstrating practical, professional skills and behavior through theatre etiquette and education.
