This three-week intensive requires an audition and is appropriate for serious, experienced students who want to take their acting, singing, and dancing to the next level. This camp culminates in a performance of Heather-The Musical: Teen Edition, for families and friends at the end of the camp.
About the Musical: Heathers-The Musical: Teen Edition is the darkly delicious story of Veronica Sawyer, a brainy, beautiful teenage misfit who hustles her way into the most powerful and ruthless clique at Westerberg High: the Heathers. But before she can get comfortable atop the high school food chain, Veronica falls in love with the dangerously handsome new kid J.D. When Heather Chandler, the Almighty, kicks her out of the group, Veronica decides to bite the bullet and kiss Heather’s aerobicized butt… but J.D. has another plan for that bullet.

The Youth Production will include the following:
- Students will receive daily schedules of what rehearsals they will have for acting, dance, and voice. Assignments will be based on casting decisions made by the production team.
- Students will receive a name badge, script, and score during production.
- Participating in a fully realized tech production, the students will have lights, sound, and costumes unique to this show.
- Parents will be able to stay updated on the fun being had every day in rehearsal via the Stack Team App, a mobile app, and a website that serves as a communication tool for the three weeks.
- Students will gain valuable performing experience to prepare them for further studies or professional opportunities.
- Students will work alongside industry professionals to enhance musical theater fundamentals and grow as performers.
The program will culminate in three performances of Heathers the Musical: Teen Edition fully realized on with costumes, mics, and sets. Rehearsals and performances will take place at North Carolina Theatre Conservatory.
AUDITIONS will be held on: February 24, 2024, at 2 pm.
