Parking
The parking deck is on the corner of Salisbury and South Street, and both open-air parking lots across South Street from the building have multiple accessible parking spaces. Accessible parking for the North Carolina Theatre Box Office is in the Kennedy Theatre parking lot, accessed from the Salisbury Street side of the building. Please note that after-hours parking (after 5:00 PM) in the Kennedy Theatre parking lot and the Box Office parking area off Wilmington Street is not considered public parking for evening and weekend performances.
Public parking is available in the Performing Arts deck at 128 W. South Street, with entrances off W. Lenoir and W. South Street, in the surface lot directly in front of the Martin Marietta Center, or in the underground Convention Center Deck, with entrance off Lenoir St.
Shuttle Service
Golf cart shuttle service is available to take guests to and from the parking lots to the theatre’s before and after the show. This service is available only on parking lots directly across South Street from the Center and the parking deck at South & Salisbury Streets. The carts can be found near the accessible parking spaces of each parking lot.
Drop Off Area
The drop-off area is in the brick area in front of Lichtin Plaza. Driving on Lichtin Plaza is prohibited.Wheelchairs
A limited number of wheelchairs are available for guests upon request. A driver’s license is required to reserve a wheelchair. Please see an usher or Box Office Staff for assistance.
Accessible Restrooms
A.J. Fletcher Opera Theater
Main Level: the men’s restroom is on the west side of the lobby (Raleigh Memorial Auditorium side), and the women’s restroom is on the east side. Balcony Level: both restrooms are located on the east side of the balcony lobby.
Raleigh Memorial Auditorium
Main Level: the newly renovated women’s restroom can be accessed via a ramp, on the east side (Fletcher side) of the innermost lobby. Men’s restrooms and additional women’s restrooms can be found in both hallways leading into the Dress Circle and Orchestra sections of the theatre. Mezzanine and Balcony Level: the newly renovated restrooms are on the balcony lobby, accessed by elevator, located in the center of the inner lobby. A companion restroom is available in the Inner Lobby of Raleigh Memorial Auditorium.
Hearing Impaired
Assisted Listening Devices are available in all four theatres at no charge. We offer the traditional ‘radio’ technology and “T-Coil” or “loop” technology. Please see an usher or Box Office Staff to obtain a listening device. A driver’s license is required to reserve a device.
American Sign Language Interpreters are available upon request. Requests must be made two to three weeks in advance of the performance.
